Clinical presentation:
Mature adult male, trauma case.

The view is taken erect. There is a fracture of the neck of the right humerus, extending from the medial side through, and separating, the greater tuberosity. A horizontal line between soft-tissue and lower than tissue density is displayed, tangential to the humeral epiphysis and crossing the upper third of the glenoid.
