Clinical presentation:
9 year old west-indian male.

The left scapula is elevated, particularly its medial side. There is a bone linking scapula and hyoid in this out-of-focus view. The elevated shoulder was corrected by resection of the bone.

Clinical presentation:
Young adult Male. No other detail.

The right scapula is elevated, particularly its medial side, excluding normal trapezius function. There is fusion of the posterior portions of right 5th and 6th ribs. The bulky fairly transradiant heart suggests a narrow A-P diameter to the chest.

Given the (branchial arch) location of the abnormality, it may be no surprise that cervical spine segmentation abnormalities may be associated with this anomaly, including hemivertebra and cervical ribs.
