Clinical presentation:
Trauma case, adult female, fell and hurt right elbow.

There is cardiomegaly. The right heart margin is slightly elongated and the (left) cardiac apex is elevated above the curve of the diaphragm. The left heart margin is in two parts. The lower is the lateral wall of the left ventricle and the upper curve has its centre of radius in the usual site of the pulmonary artery. The tracheal bifurcation is not seen in this view, but the convexities of the left side of the heart do not exclude left atrial enlargement. The aortic arch is relatively undersized. The large-size lungs contain large numbers of visible vessels, but the peripheries appear normal or (if anything) underperfused. Nearer the hila, large veins cross large arteries on their way to the left atrium, most visible near the right cardio-phrenic angle.

There is fusion of radius and ulna at the elbow. A recent fracture of the olecranon of the right ulna is noted.

Unfortunately my records are incomplete; degree of cyanosis, if any, or catheter data are unavailable.
