Clinical presentation:
59 year old woman, who was receiving therapy for Ca bronchus now has dysphagia.

The oesophageal mucosa is irregularly thickened and the folds are ill-defined with an appearance of some nodularity. The abnormal mucosal appearance extended throughout the oesophagus.

Peptic oesophagitis with stricture. (case report)

Some chemotherapeutic agents are neurotoxic and may cause oesophageal dysmotility, a common cause of reflux symptoms. Lack of the stripping wave will allow occasional 'normal' reflux to remain in the gullet long enough to cause dyscomfort.
