Clinical presentation:
Incidental finding. No history of ingestion of toxic material. Liver function was normal.

This view is unenhanced. Because of its role in transport, of water and oxygen among other things, the density of blood should be fairly constant. In this particular example, the blood in portal veins and vena cava appears denser than liver substance. There is no indication of splenic enlargement or portal hypertension.
