Aneurysms and dilatation. |

The relation between diameter and tension in the wall of a bubble tells us that in a vessel or cardiac chamber that contains fluid under-pressure, any dilatation will increase the tension in the walls. Thus any dilatation, in-response to any pathology that weakens the walls, will tend to increase the process of dilatation of a vessel or chamber. This document simply lists those examples of aneurysmal dilatation. |
